How you can help

There are many ways Canadians can help pave the way for reconciliation. You could volunteer your time at a community event or mobilize people to affect positive change just as in the Toronto Star story which saw the return of Charlie Hunter home to his family.

Over the past few years, gestures and expressions of reconciliation have been happening across Canada. The reconciliation movement has begun and the TRC believes that the momentum will continue as more Canadians learn about the stories of brave children who survived the Residential School System and its legacy.

For inspiration on how to become involved in the reconciliation movement please see Expressions of Reconciliation, there you will find examples of individual and collective efforts of working towards reconciliation.
