Event: Community Hearings (In preparation for the Saskatchewan National Event in June 2012)
Location/Date/Venue:
Pelican Narrows--February 13-14--Opawikoscikan School, Bear St
Stony Rapids--February 16-17--Stony Rapids School Gym, Johnson St (Download two-day program)
Details: These Hearings will provide an opportunity for Residential School Survivors to share with the Commission and Canada the unique experiences of children who attended Residential School.
This is also an opportunity for all Canadians, both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal, to learn more about and bear witness to the legacy of the Residential School system.
TRC’s Participation: Statement gathering provides an opportunity to share your experiences with the TRC in a private and confidential setting. There will be individual rooms where you will have the option of providing a video recorded or audio recorded statement. Health supports will be available.

Details: These Hearings will provide an opportunity for Residential School Survivors to share with the Commission and Canada the unique experiences of children who attended Residential School.
This is also an opportunity for all Canadians, both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal, to learn more about and bear witness to the legacy of the Residential School system.
